2. What we collect
- Account details: your email, account identifier and profile details provided when you register or sign in with Google or Apple, and the version and time of your signup declaration.
- Match content: your recordings, associated match data, comments and generated analysis. Videos may show other players and bystanders.
- Messages: feedback, support requests and, when available, conversations with the AI coach.
- Usage information: device and browser details, interactions, diagnostic information and identifiers used by analytics and advertising tools.
3. How we use it
We use information to run your account, process recordings, show match analysis, enable sharing you request, answer feedback and keep Court Replay working securely.
We use service providers for hosting, authentication, payments, product analytics and advertising measurement. Our analytics include session replay, which records interactions with the website, with masking and exclusions on sensitive pages.
Service providers we use
- Hosting and authentication: Google Cloud and Firebase.
- Payments for hour packs: Stripe and Link, which sells the packs as merchant of record.
- Product analytics, session replay and support conversations: PostHog.
- Advertising measurement: Google Ads and Reddit.
5. Improving our AI
We may use selected recordings and associated data to develop, train, test and improve the AI systems that power Court Replay’s sports video analysis and related performance insights, including commercial use within Court Replay.
We rely on our legitimate interests to use selected recordings to improve the accuracy and usefulness of Court Replay’s sports-analysis AI, including its commercial development. Before using personal data for this purpose, we assess necessity and the rights and reasonable expectations of everyone identifiable in the recording, including people who did not upload it. Where consent is required, we obtain it first.
Authorized staff and service providers may review selected recordings for this work. This work may include reducing identifying information in the data used for model improvement. Match footage may identify you or other people, even after account details are removed.
Where the law permits, we use selected recordings for model improvement without asking you to opt in. You can object to the use of footage containing you for model development by emailing support@court-replay.ai. Include a match link or enough information for us to locate the recording. You do not need an account or special legal wording. We will assess your request and explain the action taken. Coach conversations are excluded from model training. We do not use recordings for model training when we know they include anyone under 18.
7. Retention & deletion
We determine retention by the purpose and type of information: whether it is needed to provide an active account or requested feature, resolve a support issue, meet a specific legal obligation, or complete a defined model-development or evaluation task. We review whether identifiable information is still needed and whether less identifying information would serve the purpose.
These rules also apply to labels and other data created from recordings when they identify someone or can be linked to them.
We review selected training footage and associated annotations at least annually and delete material that is no longer necessary. These criteria do not authorize indefinite retention.
Removing a match from your library does not necessarily remove copies previously selected for model development. We retain those copies only where we have a valid legal basis and a continuing need. You can contact us to object to that use or request erasure of your personal data.
Account deletion ends your account and removes its service data, subject to applicable legal retention requirements. Any continued retention of selected training material requires separate justification and remains subject to your data-protection rights. Requests to erase personal data are assessed across relevant identifiable training copies, annotations and service-provider records too; they are not treated as library removal alone.
Deleting source footage does not automatically reverse completed model training. We assess whether further action concerning a trained model is required under applicable law.
8. Your choices & rights
Depending on the applicable law, you can request access, correction, erasure or a portable copy of your personal data, and ask us to restrict or object to certain uses. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw it. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
You must be at least 18 years old to create a Court Replay account. We do not offer accounts for under-18s through parental permission.
You do not need an account to raise a concern about footage of you. Include enough information for us to locate the match; avoid sending identity documents unless we ask for information needed to verify your request.
9. Changes to this policy
Tips and news by email
If you opt in, we use your email address to send Court Replay tips and news. We record your choice, its time, where you made it, and the wording version. You can withdraw in Account settings or through the unsubscribe link in an email. Account and support messages are separate.
For signed-in users, we also record the latest browser cookie choice and its time. This does not enable cookies on another device: each browser keeps its own choice.
We may update this policy as Court Replay evolves. We will date each published version and bring material changes to your attention through an appropriate notice, such as an in-service message or email.
Before using personal data for a new purpose, we will assess whether that use is permitted and provide the required information. Where consent is required, we will ask for it; continued use alone does not supply that consent.
